Product Highlights at the IBC 2001A new product from Sennheiser’s extremely successful evolution™ wireless series will soon facilitate the work of touring sound engineers and PA companies. With the EM 550 Sennheiser launches a 19” rack-mount twin receiver which has been specially optimized for multi-channel applications.

Featuring a rugged full metal housing and an advanced RF input stage for optimum multi-channel operation, the twin receiver is ideally suited to hostile touring environments. The EM 550 is fitted with an active antenna splitter powered by the unit’s internal power supply. Professional features include transformer balanced outputs, intuitive LED display, ”Soundcheck” set-up mode, two independent headphone outputs and advanced HDX compander circuitry.

Since its launch in 1999 Sennheiser’s evolution wireless Series has met with an extraordinary success in the music industry and audio market. Complete systems, ready for immediate use, provide for every conceivable RF requirement – at unbeatable prices.
On the ”transmitter side” the user has a choice of handheld transmitters with various microphone capsules, plug-on transmitters for wired microphones and bodypack transmitters for use with clip-on microphones, a dedicated headset microphone or an instrument cable. Receivers include rack-mount versions and bodypack receivers, e.g. for camera use. A wide range of accessories adapt the evolution wireless systems to any performance requirement.
The extensive product range is rounded off by the evolution series of wired vocal and instrument microphones and the evolution headphone series. All evolution and evolution wireless products combine surprisingly affordable prices with the quality you’ve come to expect of Sennheiser.
