e 965 true condenser microphone wins MIPA award

At the Music Fair/prolight+sound 2009 the evolution e 965 true condenser microphone was presented with the coveted MIPA award. More than 100 music magazines across the world voted in over 40 categories for the best products of 2008/2009. The e 965 double capsule microphone won in the “Live Microphone” category.

At the tenth MIPA awards, organised by the Music Fair and the MM-Musik-Media Publishers, the e 965 stood head and shoulders above the other stage microphones. “We are particularly delighted because we designed the e 965 as the absolute top microphone of the 900 series”, explains Stephan Scherthan, responsible for the music industry team at Sennheiser. In previous years the stage series had already won the MIPA award for Best Live Microphones and Best Drum Kit Microphones.

The wireless version of the e 965 will be introduced in July 2009 as part of the evolution wireless G3 series.
