MASK2 : APart´s newest miniature loudspeaker

Design without compromising on sound quality.

Pro Light+Sound 2010 is yet another milestone in the history of the Belgian brand as APart introduces MASK2 : a new model in its series of MASK cabinet speakers. A combination of cute looks and great sound, these small satellite top speakers (94 x 82 x 108 mm) are designed especially for use in small to medium-sized rooms, in residential as well as public buildings.

Whether it is the inviting atmosphere of a shop or lounge bar, the tension of a white knuckle movie through a home theatre, the refined drama of opera or the kick of your favorite rock album through a HiFi system, MASK2 will fit effortlessly into any interior style and surprise anyone with its sound quality.

MASK2 are designed to be used as top speakers, and should be used in combination with the matching APart subwoofers (SUMBLIME or SUBA165) to obtain a full range sound. They are ideal for use with home theatres, home Hi-Fi systems or to provide discrete quality music in public buildings like shops, lounge bars, beauty salons,…. Special brackets are supplied with the speakers, allowing them to be mounted under various angles in corners, or on solid surfaces such as walls or ceilings.

“We have very high ambitions for MASK2 ” declares Kris Vermuyten, Sales & Marketing Director at APart Audio. “These speakers are the latest addition to a lineup of speakers already critically acclaimed for their combination of affordability and sound quality. All too often we notice installers are forced to revert to inferior solutions like car speakers or cheap consumer systems to keep their budget in check. We consider it as APart’s mission to develop a loudspeaker with a sound quality that exceeds the markets’ standard, at a price that lies within everybody’s reach.  We did exactly that with the Concept1 integrated amplifier, and that is what we are doing once more with MASK2. Call it our war on bad audio, if you like !”.

APart MASK2 is shipping in the spring of 2010 and will be available in black and white color.

Further new products introduced by APart at Pro Light+Sound 2010 include :

It has a built-in crossover so you can link from the amplifier to the subwoofer, where the filter sends the high frequencies to the top speakers. Available in black and white.

PC3000R : A DAB + RDS FM tuner and CD/media player with USB and SD-card reader. This unit combines 24/7 reliability with perfect digital radio reception and professional features like RS-232 control. Also exists as PC1000R (CD player + media player only, no tuner).

SDQ5PIR: An APart product that has become the market’s standard. Now with IR and RS232 control, and Auto Power On function. The ideal audio solution for the AV and education market.

The new SUB2201 offers 250 Watts music power @ 4 Ohm, and is the ideal partner for MASK speakers in an active setup (X-over freq. at 150 Hz). Now in a plywood construction and with structured paint finishing. Shipping spring 2010.
