Many of Scandinavia´s leading jazz names, America´s Mike Stern and Sennheiser shone as radiant as the sun in Bodø, north of the Arctic Circle in the far north of Norway.
The scenically beautiful county of Beiarn recently hosted the second Groove Valley Jazzcamp. The initiative, held from 1st to 6th August, brought together a strong team of international musicians who ran classes, clinics, took part in jam sessions and gave concerts. American jazz/fusion guitarist Mike Stern, together with leading musicians from the Norwegian and Swedish jazz scene, made this a particularly inspiring and unforgettable week for the many established and upcoming stars who took part.

Having so much talent and creativity gathered in one place was enormously inspiring. As well as Stern, the list of musicians who took part in the clinics, concerts and jam sessions included Jan Gunnar Hoff, Audun Kleive, Bjørn Kjellemyr, Lisa Dillan, Sliding Hammers, Øystein Blix, Mathias Eick, Kåre Kolve, Nils Olav Johansen and Lena Kristin Ellingsen. Fantastic!

Sennheiser sponsored the Camp with microphones, while Sennheiser´s Nordic Manager Henrik Høyer held a clinic in wireless microphone technology for camp participants and Sales Manager for Norway Roberth Opsahl-Engen provided the memorable sound at the big closing concert.
Sennheiser wishes to thank all participants, especially Beiarn Municipality and Rune Paulsen, for a wonderful week and a tremendous experience.
